Mobile Internet is responsible for an ever increasing share of the world’s search traffic, and people aren’t just searching from their mobile device, they’re searching local:

Tablet & Desktop A holistic approach assists a device hopping user story/cycle and form a digital strategy that can assist the user’s interaction with your brand per device. One way to design for is to assume that on mobiles people browse, search, compare quickly on mobiles and less-browsing and page navigating is better to complete a quick user task. Tablets are renown for assisting reading, news, video, movies, social media and other synced apps. Then you have desktop, a lot of use on desktops is for reviewing, private information/account sign ups, banking, trading, sales, researching, search, business activities, social and general browsing. A lot of content these days across big networks such as Yahoo! are brand sponsored and it gets worse on mobiles with some studies showing that brand sponsored content is up over 50% of all mobile sites. When designing for users we must think content as “hero” before anything else, even the brand sponsoring it.
